AccorHotels have been expanding across Asia, and Thailand’s capital, Bangkok, is no exception. The group’s portfolio is notable for the number of properties under its wing, which has recently seen two new additions; a Novotel in Bangkok and another property, both located on SukhumvitSoi 4, surrounded by a wide variety of colourful entertainment options, as well as being conveniently located in walking distance of the Nana and Ploenchit BTS Skytrain stations.
AccorHotels Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia and the Maldives Chief Operating Officer, Patrick Basset, released a statement on the newest openings, saying that the hospitality group is excited to introduce their second dual-hotel brand concept in the Thai capital, which they’ve managed via their partnership with The Erawan Group. The two-in-one hotel concept offers guests with the option of staying at a Novotel in Bangkok or an ibis Styles hotel, the former an established brand, the latter a successful and popular brand within the ibis brands, aimed at the budget-conscious and trendy travellers. Basset says that this strategic project will help strengthen the growth of the company in the Kingdom.
The Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 4 feature 185 Deluxe and Grand Deluxe rooms, while the ibis Styles Bangkok Sukhumvit 4 has 133 rooms for the more budget-conscious traveller to pick through.
The Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations for The Erawan Group PLC, Youssef El Khomri, says that they are delighted to partner with AccorHotels to launch the newest midscale and economy brands for the budget-savvy traveller at the heart of Sukhumvit. Bangkok is one of the most visited cities in the world, and it’s also noted as one of the most appealing capitals in the region. Khomri describes the capital as a bustling, vibrant cosmopolitan metropolis where adventure await, and adds that the side-by-side opening of the Novotel and Ibis Styles in Downtown Bangkok gives travellers more options for the nearby business hub of Bangkok.
Guests staying at either hotel have several options for eating, with an all-day diner, Food Exchange for international buffet foods and a-la carte options, as well as view of the city from the RedSquare Rooftop Bar, which has a panoramic swimming pool to enjoy alongside its exotic cocktails and local dishes.
